Pix from the Royale

Here is our juicer, his name is R2D2.

Here is a pic of Jerome Gaynor drawing.

Here is a pic of Tim O'Connell, our spiritual cocktail bartender/advisor.

Here is a pic of me before we put in the ceiling.

Here is a pic of Patrick Dixon, the man who created the beautiful booths and table tops, just to name of a few of his contributions. He was filling in as a barback. He also has a beautiful KZ1000. Next to him is Allison Trombley, one of the mighty fine managers. She also publishes some interesting books.

Here is a pic from one of the great booths.

Here is a pic of Bob Kriege, the accordian player from Saturday night.

Here is a pic of Leyla Rose Bland, happily pouring a cocktail.

Here is a pic of our electrician/plumber and sometimes dishwasher Brent. Please note the supply of Rap Snacks at the bar.

I will have some more shots of the whole room and exterior. These shots were done by the esteemed Frank DiPiazza.

I lived in the apartment above your space during the 1990s. The bar, at that time, was called Wingerz (I was hoping the owner had a Kip Winger fetish, but instead it was about his supposedly famous chicken wings). It was a typical neighborhood tavern with an atypical, original bar.
Then it became Reale Bar & Grill. That newlywed couple became my new landlords and did a pretty good job of spiffing the place up between loud (like "wake me up" loud) arguments.
The one thing both of those incarnations had in common was daily spins of "Paradise by the Dashboard Light" on the jukebox. I still flinch from the trauma.
From the pictures posted, it looks AMAZING! That space was just waiting for someone to "get it" and transform it with color, art and heart.
I want to ride my bike to the place (to use that brilliant rack) and experience the new essence, but is it safe? Is there any Meatloaf in the jukebox?

Have been enjoying the beer and spirits since you've opened my friend and I love the redesign.

Caught my first glimpse of the food menu on Monday though and was floored with the many delectible sounding selections. Can't wait to munch my way through them all. 'cept maybe if there was a liver dish I failed to notice.

Your place looks great and sounds like a fun place to visit, is there plenty of safe parking?

Yes, plenty of it. Just don't park on Gurney.
