I found out via an anonymous comment on my blog. I was very good friends with both Hunter and his mom many years ago when we were in high school. We just got in touch each other after losing touch since the late 90's. I know he shared that he was very depressed and that he had lost his mother this past year. I am very very sorry to hear of this news. My prayers are with him and all who care for him.

Tyger Tyger. burning bright,
In the forests of the night;
What immortal hand or eye.
Could frame thy fearful symmetry?

In what distant deeps or skies.
Burnt the fire of thine eyes?
On what wings dare he aspire?
What the hand, dare seize the fire?

And what shoulder, & what art,
Could twist the sinews of thy heart?
And when thy heart began to beat.
What dread hand? & what dread feet?

What the hammer? what the chain,
In what furnace was thy brain?
What the anvil? what dread grasp.
Dare its deadly terrors clasp?

When the stars threw down their spears
And watered heaven with their tears:
Did he smile His work to see?
Did he who made the lamb make thee?

Tyger Tyger burning bright,
In the forests of the night:
What immortal hand or eye,
Dare frame thy fearful symmetry?

I met Hunter in the early 90's through my daughter Tamara. I felt he was a very talented, heartfelt soul. I am so sorry he carried such pain, and that none of us knew of it. I hope he is sharing a beer with my own son, "somewhere over the rainbow, why, oh why could they not fly...

Hunter, I will always remember happily the first evening that we met, one that consisted of your delight at the contents of my cd collection; your rapping out your most recent song, complete with all the killer beats; a discussion we had on blues; and the way you had everyone's rapt attention and admiration.
Thank you for being such a fiercely brilliant and amazing person; thank you for many other nights/days like that where you gave so much as a friend. You made so many days beautiful and rich with the color of your mind, the sound of your voice, and the way your little smile could charm the birds out of the trees.
RIP, darlin'.

Well here we are it's all come to a head.
Ya know.. the things that we done
and the things that we said.
Been living for this moment and a fine time to be here in the now.
You feeling Good?
I'm feeling fine too.

We gonna die.
So what's the consolation?
Do Cry..I won't cry.
Dive into to the elation.
Just pool like a sea span across
And all I got to say is B- B- B
be who you are.
Even if not who you want.
If you got it... don't hide it.
If you got it.... gotta flaunt.

(This was the 1st Sky Bop Fly verse Hunter wrote)

Hunter " was amazingly talented".
He made me step up my game.
I'll miss him.
I guess heaven needed a musical director.

I can't believe it. Toast was an extreme inspiration to me as a musician and as a human. I had the pleasure of playing with him night after night in Sky Bop Fly and running in to him every month or so. Damn- I will miss you, brother...
