John- if you are serious you need to be training at a licensed boxing gym. There are plenty around town. Then you need to get a coach to sign off on your competition. My coaches sign off on my fighters, but you are welcome to find another gym- 12th and Park, PAL, Cherokee Rec, Gamble, Wohl, Warriors, Marquette, West End, Knuckles etc. I would suggest going to any of those gyms- they are all top notch. Most of them are free/low cost too. Once a licensed coach and gym clears you to box after proper training, then you can start considering competition. This is not tough man contest. Good luck.

Just talked to Crone. You need to get certified. He is down, but you have to get certified. If you need contacts for coaches, let me know and I will get you the names and times.

vs. Crone...This would be a nice addition to the card...IF...it would be an actual boxing match.

honestly, my concern is that if you really and truly think, as you state, that "boxing is a ridiculous sport," that you might get yourself or someone hurt. you gotta respect the sport, or otherwise, it turns into some toughman stuff, that's goofy and perhaps a bit dangerous, especially, when tempers flare.

good luck, and never be too big a hurry to disregard gentlemanly means.

peace

Dude. Go see a therapist if your feelings are that intense or get a trainer. I doubt you'll be ready in time though.
