The shirt is for a band called the Bill McClellan Motherf*ckers. The shirt has a picture of Francis Slay's head superimposed upon JFKs body in the infamous limo that drove Kennedy through the streets of Dallas. And, in the back of the head is the exit wound flying across the Lincoln. And to the left of Slay's head is the word "blight".

The band, the Bill McClellan Motherf*ckers has gotten quite a bit of fame around town. They have stenciled some graf around town.

I hope Francis has a sense of humor. I know it seems disturbing, but he should be flattered. This is a very interesting way to be immortalized. Years back there were pictures of Thomas Crone were put on a dart board for flyers. That was really funny. The image of the Queen was used in the Sex Pistols illustration, and music about her "facist regime". This is all true flattery in the popular culture. A bit severe perhaps, but still flattering.

This also reminds me of many band flyers and ads over the years. Pictures of Jack Ruby shooting Lee Harvey Oswald with a Fender guitar. All sorts of images have proliferated our society like this.

It makes it interesting. For the record, word is the band is full of "Bierdos" or "Beardos". I am not sure how you spell that.

lol. after seeing the Thomas Crone dartboard mentioned several places over the years, I feel it's time to come forward.

As a bored 3rd shift employee at the Kinko's on S. Grand, i made up the TC Dartboard on a whim, faxed a copy to the RFT, and printed up a few hundred which i gave to a couple friends. I'm amazed that it still turns up all these years later.

Best. Band name. Well, maybe not ever, but it's still one hell of a name. I'd love to get some stickers.

do you have a digital image of the TC dartboard? I want to print it out and put it on a dart board! We should put online as well so we can get others to download and print and dart!

If people are putting grafitti on private property, they should be held to account.

Glorifying illegal "graf" is degrading to a civilized society.

How would you like it if someone painted a huge "AK-47" sign over your lovely Royale Fleur De Lis?

I do not glorify or approve the illegal act graffiti vandalism on any level. In fact we have been hit here at the Royale. Twice. But there are different levels of offense and we do need to keep this in perspective. There is graffiti inside the new Cathedral on top of the dome that dates back to the early 1900s. That is destruction of Church property. Bill Frist carved his name into his desk while in congress. That is destruction of public property.

I have also been actively tracking down a few of the punks who have been hitting active properties in particularly stupid ways. I am trying to get them to stop if I can track them down, but they are stupid punks without care of property or the property owners who are effected.

When we got hit, I didn't like it. I knew that if it was better graffiti I would not have been as annoyed. I can't help but smile when I see funny graffiti. I can't help but smile when I see good graffiti. But that does not mean I approve of the choice of canvas.

But overall, graffiti is not nearly as serious offense as violent crime, something that we really need to start to think about. Or we could follow Boz Sr directive and cane people who tag.

it's uhh:

proper context:

Bill McClellan Motherfuckers have and will never display public art on private/residential property. Our works are strictly reserved for appropriate public spaces and corporate real estate. Context is the most important element of political art.

Gird your collective loins this spring/summer.

Does Bill McClellan approve of his name being associated with a group of MF'ers?

Is corporate property private property?

Who pays for cleanup of grafitti on public property?

Are the BMMFers a group of frustrated young white men?

If so, why are they so discontented?

When we are warned to gird our loins, should we expect acts of domestic terrorism?

If the guy in the picture is a member of the BMMF'ers terror cell, I suppose we don't have much to worry about.

He doesn't look capable of inflicting much damage.

Um, from what I understand he accepts the band fine. Bill did an article on them I think.

I am not their spokesman, so you might want to direct all questions to the beardos themselves.

Being an old, tired fan of Jodie Foster's Army, I've got no problem with the in your face name. The music is a bit boring, though.

I didn't really appreciate the uncomfortable moment I had when my neices (8 and 12) saw the Bill McClellan Motherfuckers stickers stuck all over South Grand last summer. It's kind of turned me off to the band. I've actually avoided seeing them because of that. I'm a big fan of swearing, but I've always had a problem with it in public places.
