Mott Oxford Fundraiser Thursday

Jeanette Mott Oxford will be having a fundraiser at PHD Gallery at 2300 Cherokee on Thursday night, January 31st, from 5:30-7:30 for her run as State Representative in the 59th District. Suggested donations starting at 25 up to 325 bucks.

But what do I get other than a great rep for South Saint Louis? A wonderful drink selection. I personally will be bartending on Cherokee for this fundraiser along with master mixologists Tim O'Connell and Emily Walker. Yes cocktails, beer and wine. We have developed a specialized drink menu for the evening which is below.

Finally- cocktails on Cherokee, if just for a fleeting moment!

the evenings offerings:

Prohibition Punch
dark rum, Cointreau, fresh citrus, sugar, Champagne

A populist version of the 1920s aristocratic original.

Great ideas originate when the sententious rules say otherwise.

the Zimmerman
rye, Fernet, sugar

The spice of rye accented by exotic Fernet.

Jake Zimmerman humbly asks
that you join him
in his preprandial Constitutional.

Sazerac
whiskey, Pernod, bitters

A nod to the Big Easy's French Heritage, originally served by a pharmacist for medicinal purposes.

No prescription needed.

New York Sour
whiskey, sugar, lemon juice, red wine

The amateur goes professional.

Everyman's drink, satisfying to all tastes.

the Mister Smith
gin, lime juice, ginger beer, mint

Refreshing. Bracing. Palate-cleansing.
Jeff Smith says: “You bet!”

Why go to Washington (or Jeff City)
where never shall you find one of these?

For Moderation, and Those Driving

Vess and Osterweis products
Fresh lemonade
