Yes, yes, I do have more videos from my vacation. I did lose a couple of videos from Philly that I am not going to redo- one from WXPN and another on food. My hard drive crapped out and I got a new one, but I have re-learned the importance of backing up. I am really doing these videos for practice, for I have gotten a contract to do some work that includes videos. I will go into that more later.
This is the first of three on Saugerties. I stayed with my old friend Patrick at the lighthouse where he is the keeper. It is on the Hudson and is a historic rehabbed lighthouse and bed and breakfast which he runs. The history of the lighthouse is fascinating. It is very raw. The lighthouse only has a very small amount of power from outside the house, and that is from cables that are laid back in the 1920s in the river. It can only power maybe a dozen high efficiency lights and a few small appliances. All the water is from the cisterns on the roof, so conservation is very necessary.
The piece after this is sailing and eating. The third is on rafting, hauling linen on bikes and Kingston. I think they are pretty fun. I hope you enjoy the music. This one has our good friend Pokey LaFarge on the soundtrack. The video is approximately four and a half minutes long.
